Buying DSL Modems

The following modems are available for rent at the UND Housing Office. The modems rented from the Housing Office are the only modems ResNet guarantees will work with UND's DSL service.

Please Note: The discs that come packaged with the Zoom modems ARE NOT compatible with UND's DSL network, BUT the modems are already configured by ResNet to work on UND's DSL network. Please contact ResNet for any other problems.

If supported modems are obtained from any place other than the Housing Office, they will need to be configured by a ResNet technician.

ResNet may also be able to configure other third-party DSL modems. It is not guaranteed, however, that these modems will have available the settings required for compatibility with UND's DSL service.

Cable modems will not work in the UND apartments as we are unable to provide Internet service over coaxial (TV) cable at this time.
