Visitor Information
Visitors are always welcomed on campus; however, passes are required 24/7. Single-day and multi-day visitor passes are available. To purchase a pass, go to the UND Parking Services, located in 204 Twamley Hall, with the license plate number of the vehicle you are driving.
UND honors state-issued accessible permits for visitors. For visitors parking frequently in accessible stalls displaying a state-issued accessible permit, please contact Parking Services to discuss options.

Day Visits

Memorial Union Loop (University Avenue)
Parking in the Memorial Union loop is free but limited to 30 minutes.
Parking Ramp
Parking in the Ramp is pay-as-you-go. Rates are $1.50/first hour and $1 each additional hour up to a maximum daily charge of $7.
Visitor Parking Lot
Parking in the Visitor Lot is pre-paid. Visitors park in an available space, purchase time at the pay station, place the parking receipt on the dashboard of their vehicle, and proceed to their campus destination. No change will be given and no refunds for unused time are offered. Rates are $1.50/first hour and $1 each additional hour up to a maximum daily charge of $7.
Metered Zones
Parking in the metered lots is pay-as-you-go. The meter's time range from 30 minutes to 4 hours.
Rates are:
$.05 – 2 minutes
$.10 – 4 minutes
$.25 – 10 minutes

A, S, and H Zones
Day passes are available for parking in the A, S, and H Zones from Parking Services for $5/day. You are required to display a temporary parking pass from your vehicle’s rear view mirror when parking in these zones.
Weekend Visits
Residence Hall Visitors
Passes are available for weekend visits to campus. These passes can be purchased at the Parking Office for a fee of $5/day, $15/weekend, or $20/week. Visitors will be assigned to the A/S/H overflow zone in the parking lot south of the Chester Fritz Auditorium.

A, S, and H Zones
Week passes for parking in the A, S, and H zones are available from Parking Services for $20/week. You are required to display a temporary parking pass from your vehicle’s rear view mirror when parking in these zones.
Event Parking
Certain events on campus are subject to Special Event Parking privileges. Departments and Guests can arrange the use of a lot for their special event. Rates are determined after the Special Event Form has been submitted and approved. Parking Services staff may place signs directing guests to appropriate parking lots. The electronic sign on Columbia on the east side of the Ramp is often used to identify events and locations. For more information visit Event Parking.
Prospective Students
Guest passes are available at no charge for a prospective student’s visit to campus. Please contact Enrollment Services for more information.
