About me: Currently a Senior at UND. I am originally from the Vermillion, South Dakota area. I have a high interest in geography and earth sciences. I enjoy gardening when I can, I have a collection of carnivorous plants I have been growing in my dorm since freshmen year in 2008. After I graduate this spring I plan on going on to obtain my Masters in geography with a focus on studying natural hazards. Later on I plan to obtain a Doctorate degree and then go on to become a professor at a university.
My McNair Experience: The McNair program has significantly helped me prepare for graduate school in several ways. This includes applying for grad school, GRE preparation, research projects, how to present projects, and information presented during monthly meetings. I don't know if I could have gotten to where I currently am without the assistance through the McNair program and I feel I can succeed academically in graduate school despite the heavy pressure involved.
