- Women's Center
The primary goal of the Women's Center is to coordinate efforts toward the removal of social, political, and economic barriers to women's full participation in society.
This is accomplished in part through education, involvement with various university and community committees, and participation in the development and implementation of institutional policies.
The UND Women's Center can now be found on Area Voices. Our new blog contains information about current events in the area and reflection on issues affecting women locally, nationally, and internationally. You can follow us at http://womenund.areavoices.com/
The Women's Center′s symbol is that of a Cottonwood Tree:
Fast growing, tall and strong, shielding against the sweeping winds, it′s roots go deep into the soil and it′s branches stretch to the sky. In the center of every cottonwood branch is a unique star.
The Women′s Center continues to build a community that celebrates and nurtures the strength, determination and diversity of all people and thought. This is a center where you can shine and truly be yourself.
