The Women Center offers a variety of ways for students to be involved. The Women Center staff want students to know and feel like this is THEIR center. If you have ideas about an event or project that you would like the Women Center to sponsor or co-sponsor please do not hesitate to call or email.
Our most common ways that students can get involved include:
Every year the Women Center staff seeks volunteers for the ND Clothesline Project. Set up and take down are big jobs that the staff could not do without the help of students. This year, set up will be on Oct. 2nd and take down will be on Oct. 7th in the Memorial Union Ballroom. Times will be determined soon. If you would like to sign up, you can do so at the Involvement Expo on August 24th from 10am-2pm or you can contact the Women's Center to be put on a listserv to receive a notification and reminder about volunteering.
Women Center typically has a number of undergraduate positions each year. A graphic design student and a few others that help with advertising and arranging events, programs, and presentations as necessary and also handle some day to day tasks that are required.
Three graduate positions are also necessary to keep up with events, programming, assessment and advertising the Women Center's sponsored/co-sponsored events. One position is part time and the other two are quarter time with tuition waivers available to GSAs.
