Amy Peterschick, Green Family Teacher
B.S. General Studies with an Early Childhood Education Minor
My purpose as an educator is to provide a safe and educational setting that allows children the opportunity to explore, develop self-reliance, foster bonds with peers, and have the building blocks for academic success.
Kayla Schneider, Green Family Teacher
B.S. Early Childhood Education
My purpose as an early childhood educator is to inspire, teach, and guide young children. My goal is to help them grow to be successful in their futures. I strive to provide them with diverse opportunities to learn as well as support them in areas of growth. My purpose as an early childhood supervisor is to guide and challenge college level students to be the best educators they can be. I also believe that I am here at University Children’s Learning Center to serve my coworkers, my students, and the families.
Breann Smith, Green Family Student Teacher Summer 2017
Our children are learning like they do in a “classroom,” but they are part of a family that learns together.
Children joining a Preschool Family remain in this family with a consistent group of children and teachers. This allows each child to develop a sense of community and belonging as they learn how to get along with one another, and creating a sense of safety and security.
