We're here to help you with your public relations, marketing, and communications projects.
If you have a good idea of what type of assistance you need, fill in the form below to the best of your ability to register an official project request. Please note that due to staffing limitations, it may not be possible for us to fill all requests. We will make every effort to meet as many needs as possible. In evaluating projects, the following factors will be considered:
- Alignment with University mission, strategy and goals.
- Resources required – time, equipment and people.
- Timing – duration of the project and whether it occurs in conjunction with other time-intensive projects.
Tips for Your Successful Project
Faculty and Staff Head Shots
Please note that we are scheduling head shots in the Twamley Hall studio (Room 411) on Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Please complete the request form indicating you would like a studio head shot and you will be contacted by email with a link to schedule a time. UPA will try to accommodate alternative times where possible.
Print and Advertising
The Division of University & Public Affairs (UPA) is committed to assisting with various project needs for units, departments and colleges. While our team of marketing and communications professionals provide these services at no cost there are a few items that clients should consider when submitting a project request that will help to expedite projects, particularly printed materials.
1. Bid Specs
For print jobs, the client is responsible for submitting bid specs to Purchasing if necessary. Purchasing returns estimates received from the bid process to the area that submitted, allowing clients to manage the quote selection in accordance with their budget. Please allow two weeks for this process. UPA is not involved in the bid spec process unless the client specifically requests assistance.
The client is responsible for submitting any required Trademark Use Request Forms to Licensing for approval of the university logo or other marks. The department/organization attaches the approved TURF form to chosen form of payment and submits it to UND Accounting Services or department/organization business office. UPA assumes that the client has secured budget to pay for printing/advertising costs.
4. Quantity and Quality
It is also helpful for our designers to know what quantity and quality (of print) the client is anticipating as this may determine whether a project can be printed on campus or will need to be an external print job. UPA can offer recommendations if the client is unsure.
5. Print Advertisements
The client is responsible for the booking the advertisement, and the delivery of the advertisement to the outlet (magazine, journal, newspaper etc). This helps to streamline the invoicing process from the outlet to the office that is purchasing the advertisement.
