We're here to help you with your website. This Web Support site will guide you through developing and maintaining a strong Web presence.
OmniUpdate (OU)
UND adopted the OU content management system to provide all campus content developers an easy way to manage their Web pages. OU standardizes pages which creates consistency and accuracy across the site. To learn more about OU, contact Tera Buckley, Web Managing Editor, 701.777.4941.
Web Requests
UND Web Support offers a variety of Web support services. Please note due to staffing limitations, your project request may not be granted. Projects aligning with the strategic priorities of the University may receive special consideration.
- New User Access – Complete this form if you need access to a website in OmniUpdate. Access cannot be granted to websites outside of OmniUpdate.
- Request Web Projects/Services – Do you need help with a Web project? Register an official request for new website or redesign assistance with the Division of University & Public Affairs.
- New Web Space – Develop a new website by requesting access to new space within OmniUpdate.
Domain Names/Web Redirects
Marketing URLs are governed by the Identity Guidelines. If you would like to request a marketing URL or redirect your website to a different domain name, please fill out the request form.
Databases
Complete this form to request a custom database application.
Special Sites
Special consideration may be granted for websites on UND servers that do not use OU. Permission is granted on a case-by-case basis. Faculty, departments, offices, organizations, and special events may request Web space.
Blogs
UND prefers WordPress for creating blogs. Blogs can be hosted on a UND server, which will give the blog an URL with an UND.edu domain name (e.g. http://blogs.und.edu/yourblog), by contacting Nathan Clough, Lead Web Applications Developer, 701.777.0845.
Internal Websites (Intranet)
Those wishing to develop an internal Web presence are encouraged to use SharePoint instead of OmniUpdate. Contact Kelicia Samuelson, Web Designer, 701.777.6537 for assistance.
Social Media Account Registration
In order to promote UND through social media, provide consistency in naming, help troubleshoot accounts, post in emergency situations, ensure continuity during staffing changes, and delete dead accounts, please register your social media account with Lacey Erickson .

Websites for UND entities can be listed on the A-Z Index. Links to external sites or media files are typically not allowed. Submit your listing using the form on the A-Z Index.
Calendar
All UND events are managed through the UND calendar. UND employees and students can request calendar listings. Adding photos, videos and links to your event listing will enhance event exposure.
