Organizations Template Guide
If you are a center on campus, a student organization, non-academic committee, research group, faculty member ... or other ... these may be for you. The new templates carry a smaller version of the header (black banner) and have the same University footer. Here's why:
- You give your users the same navigation structure they'll find everywhere else on UND.edu so as they are poking around and learning about us, they have a road map.
- The header is a bit thinner, offering your group the chance to put its brand out there.
The template pages are able to be rearranged as you need, so changing your website over the years is a fairly straightforward process. It's like this: There are multiple editable sections. To re-arrange the pages, each section would stay in tact but be displayed in a different position on the page.
Various color schemes are available, as well as fonts.
We are open to suggestions for additional layout, color, font, etc, options, so please speak up.

Getting Started
The first file you'll want to edit is template-style.pcf. This is where you can choose how your whole site will look. You can choose the layout, colors, fonts, and more. If you make a change to this file you'll have to republish your pages. You can preview the styles here: http://und.edu/web-support/working-in-ou/special-page-types/orgs/example.php Use the buttons at the bottom of the page to preview the settings.
Banners and Logos
- Banner/logo size for Layout A must be: exactly 245px wide by roughly 105px
- Banner/logo size for Layout C must be: less than or equal to 1024px wide by roughly 105px
- Banner/logo for Layout B will be stretched to 1024px width.
- Banner/logo for Layout D should be 383px wide and around 650px tall.

Next steps
- Be sure to publish your footer, nav, and widget.
- Footer and nav are required - widget is optional.
- Create your first page from the template. There are two options: sidebar or no sidebar.
- In the page properties you can choose whether to include the widget file.
