Templates

Templates provide consistency on the UND website, while also giving content developers flexibility to highlight their own content. Carefully chose a template to best display the content and visual elements of your page.

Template Categories:

Non Academic
Used for administrative or outreach departments.

Academic
Used for colleges, schools, and other academic programs.

Organization and Faculty
Used for student organizations, conferences, and faculty. See the Template Guide

Template Variations

There are generally four template variations available for academic and nonacademic sites including: 

1. One-section without local navigation (only appropriate for large sets of data, large images, or large embeds)
2. One-section with local navigation
3. Two-section (left local navigation, content well, and right sidebar)
4. Article (left news navigation, content well, right media well)

Strong preference should be shown towards templates with local navigation.

Footer

The template footer contains contact information and social media icons as placeholders and are simply examples to help you get started. Please update your unit’s footer to reflect the appropriate information for your unit. If you do not want anything beyond basic contact information in the footer, delete the placeholder text.
