Music in America emerges you into music today as well as in history, where you will learn about a range of American popular music from the nineteenth century to the present day. Beginning with Tin Pan Alley and Broadway, the course traces many major developments in American popular music such as:

You will learn about the major developments of music by listening to music files, watching videos, and viewing music artists profiles. You will also complete readings, activities, quizzes, and keyword practice.
