North Dakota Safety Framework Practice Model: Overview of Purpose and Concepts

North Dakota Child Welfare Community Partners

The North Dakota Department of Human Services-Children and Family Services Division welcome you to this site!  The “Safety Framework Practice Model: Overview of Purpose and Concepts” tutorial will provide you information regarding the changing practice of child welfare within the human service zones.  This change will positively impact how agencies make case decisions and could also have an effect on how child welfare staff partner with local community agencies to better serve children and families.  If in your work you routinely partner with child welfare staff within the human service zones, it highly recommended you take an hour of your time to view this tutorial. The Safety Framework Practice Model was implimented on December 14, 2020.  With any new initiative, it will take time for agencies to practice this model with fidelity. Nonetheless, it is an exciting time for child welfare in North Dakota!  Thank you for taking time to view this tutorial and we sincerely hope you find it informative.
