Her career includes experience as a hospice patient care coordinator, home health care nurse, rehabilitation nurse and Migrant Health nurse, and a passion for caring for elderly and patients with wound care issues. As a nurse educator for 30 years, with a PhD in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, she has supervised students extensively in acute care, rehab settings, and laboratory courses. Research interests and extensive publications are in the area of simulation, pressure ulcers, pressure mapping, wound measurement, and leg and foot ulcers in clients with diabetes. Dissertation research: Academic electronic health records used in simulation and higher education.
