Tyler K. Newman is a Research Engineer at the EERC, where his work focuses on process engineering and design related to conversion of coal/biomass to fuels, chemicals, and energy and pre/postcombustion carbon capture. He holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from UND. Prior to his position at the EERC, he served as a Mechanical Engineer at Odra, LLC. Mr. Newman’s principal areas of interest and expertise include design, modeling, and fabrication of experimental equipment; gasification and combustion technology; fluid power systems; and machine component design.
