Biography
Dr. Xincheng Wan is a Reservoir Engineer at the EERC, where his work involves solving advanced challenges in unconventional reservoirs such as analysis of production mechanisms, diagnosis of production problems, hydraulic fracturing with different fluids, CO2/gas enhanced oil recovery, high-volume gas storage, advanced reservoir monitoring techniques, and application of artificial intelligence/machine learning algorithms in unconventional reservoirs. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Petroleum Engineering from UND, an M.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering from China University of Petroleum, East China.
Dr. Wan’s principal areas of interest and expertise include geomechanics, hydraulic fracturing, and refracturing and reservoir simulation for unconventional reservoirs. He is the author and coauthor of several important peer-reviewed and conference papers.
