Ray Richards Golf Course
Welcome! Ray Richards Golf Course is a full-service, nine hole, par 36 golf course designed by renowned landscape architect Robert Bruce Harris of Chicago. The golf course is named for the late Ray Richards, a Tulsa, OK engineer and UND alum (1906), who donated the land to UND. Located adjacent to the beautiful campus of the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, the course is owned and operated by the University of North Dakota.
Proposed Budget Changes at UND affect Ray Richards Golf Course
Some heartbreaking news to relay to everybody. After this golf season Ray Richards Golf Course may be closing due to the proposed budget cuts at the University of North Dakota. The plan is for the university to issue a solicitation for proposal to outsource the operation of the golf course. If successful, starting golf season 2017, Ray Richards Golf Course will be operated by a non-UND entity. If not successful, it will be the first time in 47 years golf will not be played on the land the late Ray Richards donated to the University of North Dakota.
So with that said thank you for your continued support during what could be the final year of Ray Richards Golf Course. From the bottom of our hearts we thank all of our long time members and the many customers and employees that have called Ray Richards home at one time or another.
We look forward to a great year of golf - Play Well everyone.
