Apply to Accelerated Biology Program

Apply to the accelerated Biology program.

This program allows exceptional undergraduate students an opportunity to complete the requirements for both the bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Biology at an accelerated pace. Students wanting to enroll in the accelerated program will apply to grad school a year before their normally expected undergrad graduation date after consultation with a potential faculty mentor.

Application Process

Pay less and graduate sooner with UND’s combined or accelerated degree programs. Because these degrees are combined into one program, you’ll take fewer total credit hours than you would if you were to pursue your degrees separately.

Traditionally, you’ll follow this process for applying to accelerated degree programs:

  1. If you are an incoming freshman or transfer student, apply to UND as an undergraduate student. Declare your program of study and you’ll follow a straightforward plan from the very beginning of your enrollment all the way through to graduating with a master’s degree.
  2. During your junior year, you can officially apply to the School of Graduate Studies. Instead of having to first earn your bachelor’s degree and then start graduate school, these bachelor’s and master’s degree programs allow you to complete both degrees at the same time.
