What is couples counseling and can it help me?
Couples counseling is designed to provide a safe environment to come together to build awareness and skills that enable participants to learn and improve relationship enhancing communication skills and effective decision making. It also provides an opportunity to explore and resolve issues and interpersonal conflict, enhance intimacy, clarify relationship boundaries, address control and power issues, resolve sexual difficulties, and increase positive time together. With the assistance of a counselor or therapist, couples are able to develop more intimate, satisfying relationships and learn skills that help the relationship grow and flourish after counseling has ended.
What can I expect couples counseling to be like?
Couples counseling will give you the opportunity to examine and improve your relationship with your spouse or partner in a non-threatening and compassionate environment. We are not only committed to your personal well-being but also would like to help you make your intimate relationship work.
