LGBTQ+ Ally Training
The UND LGBTQ+ Ally Training Program is designed to increase understanding and awareness around how to foster an inclusive, equitable, and welcoming environment for the LGBTQ+ community.
These sessions are open to students, faculty, and staff. The training consists of two parts. Part I is completed individually, Part II is completed in-person.
Part I: LGBTQ+ 101
Part I introduces basic LGBTQ+ terms and begins to build your awareness about LGBTQ+ experiences. Participants will also learn about a brief queer history to contextualize LGBTQ+ issues.
Part II: Allyship
Part II dives deeper into understanding LGBTQ+ issues supported by national, local, and University data. Participants will gain the tools needed to provide resources and engage in making UND a more supportive, inclusive, and affirming campus. Participants who complete Part II will be identified as a UND LGBTQ+ Ally.
