UND LGBTQIA Ally Training
The UND LGBTQIA Ally Training Program is committed to increasing understanding and awareness around how to foster an inclusive, equitable, and welcoming environment for the LGBTQIA community. These sessions are open to students, faculty, and staff. After completing the program, participants will receive a UND LGBTQIA Ally placard and visibility items. UND faculty and staff will have the option of being recognized as allies on the Gender and Sexuality webpage. Particpants are also able to receive a LGBTQIA Ally digital badge after completing training.
Session 1: February 23, 2021 | 12 p.m. - 1 p.m
Session 2: March 31, 2021 | 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.
Session 3: April 27, 2021 | 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.
Participants will need to complete the LGBTQ 101 videos prior to attending LGBTQIA Ally Training.
The LGBTQ 101 provides you with the basics in understanding gender and sexual diversity.
Gender & Sexuality Presentation
The Gender & Sexuality Presentation is designed for UND Student Groups, Courses, Fraternities and Sororities, etc. that are interested in learning more about the LGBTQIA community. The workshop is designed to educate on gender and sexuality along with how to take an active role in creating an inclusive environment.
Faculty/Staff Safe Colleges Training
Making Campus Safe for LGBTQ+ Students is a Safe Colleges Training available for Faculty and Staff. This training explores the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ students and provides ways that educators can help create a safe and respectful campus environment.
Transgender Awareness is a Safe Colleges Training available for Faculty and Staff. This training explores challenges faced by transgender students and how educators can communicate with respect and caring.
