The University of North Dakota has a faculty, staff and student population of approximately 18,000. Grand Forks, ND-East Grand Forks, MN is a community of 60,000 located in one of the richest agricultural areas in the United States. While this community is a wonderful place to live, work and study, none of us can ever forget that personal safety and property security always begin with the individual. Each of us must do all we can to protect ourselves and our property. This web page will identify what is being done and what services are available on the UND campus. The mission of the University of North Dakota Police Department is to protect and enhance the quality of life for all who live, work, or visit our community. Our effectiveness in accomplishing this mission will be measured by the absence of fear and crime in our neighborhood and by the level of respect for our efforts.
