Student Disclosure Information
As a University of North Dakota student, you have the right to be informed of consumer information and know how to file a complaint. This information is provided according to federal requirements set forth in the Higher Education Act of 1965 (amended in 1988).
Student Complaint Process
The University of North Dakota strives to resolve student grievances, complaints and concerns in an efficient, fair and amicable manner. Students attending UND who choose to resolve a grievance should follow the University's Academic Grievance Process, found in the Academic Concerns section of the Code of Student Life.
Student Academic Complaint Resolution for Students Outside of North Dakota (including online)
Complaints relating to grades or student misconduct will not be reviewed by the aforementioned agencies. These complaints must be reviewed through University procedures as noted the in the Academic Grievances section of the Code of Student Life. Allegations of fraud and other criminal misconduct against the University can be directed to the state attorney general or other designated entities in the state where the student is located.
Students located in SARA-member states, territories or the District of Columbia: Students enrolled in a course that takes place outside of North Dakota (including but not limited to online, internship, practicum, or clinical placement) and in another SARA-member state, territory, or the District of Columbia must first seek resolution with the University of North Dakota by filing a complaint with the appropriate person or office at the university as noted in the Code of Student Life.
If the complaint cannot be resolved through the internal University process, those complaints including those relating to allegations of dishonest or fraudulent activity, the veracity of marketing materials, complete and accurate admission requirements for courses and programs, transfer, job placement rates, tuition and fees, etc.(see section 4.2 in the SARA Policy Manual for the complete list of consumer protection issues), may be brought to the: North Dakota NC-SARA Portal Agency at the North Dakota University System:

Resolution of the complaint by the North Dakota University System is final.
Students located in a non-SARA member state while enrolled in education offered by the University of North Dakota, including California may file a complaint through the appropriate University process and procedures above, or with the North Dakota University System, also noted above, or with the state or territory where the student is located:

The University of North Dakota has been institutionally accredited since 1913 by the Higher Learning Commission.
