Experience the Culture of Wellness at UND!
UND is working very hard to advance the culture of wellness all around campus and at our satellite sites by not just talking about wellness, but being active and healthy. Our efforts are all around and here is our success:
Leadership Support
President Kelley and first Lady Kelley walk the talk literally by leading various wellness events on campus including: "Walk with the Kelleys", cross country "Ski with the Kelleys".
Deans for Wellness Initiative
The Associate Provost, Steven Light has challenged each of the 10 Deans to lead a wellness program for their employees (and/or students) to highlight their interest in enhancing the quality of life for staff and faculty so that we can give our best to our UND students.

Healthy UND Coalition
Many individuals in departments on campus join together to initiate, advance and update the campus on healthy options for students, staff, and faculty.
Department Success
Work Well Ambassadors in various departments are activating a culture of wellness. Here are a few examples:

The Human Resources/Payroll department has their own healthy weigh-in program and prizes for maintaining or reducing weight.

The Center for Rural Health has a comprehensive plan and a wellness committee including social wellness (potlucks), environmental wellness (Adopt-A-Highway), health-related presentations, and 5 minutes of wellness at each staff meeting and various other programs.

An Ambassador at the Human Nutrition Research Center provides a Tuesday and Thursday "Stretched But Not Broken" 10-minute stretching program.

The Anthropology Department started a walk club to campus dining hall once a month

The Accounting Services, Student Financial Aid and Student Account Services departments all have wellness presentations every month/bi-monthly.

The Airport has a walking video group four days a week during lunch.

Dining Services has a special health screening and wellness-focused in-service ½ day during spring break.
