Theatre Arts presents Arthur Miller’s ‘All my Sons’ Feb. 21-25
The University of North Dakota Department of Theatre Arts presents Arthur Miller's All My Sons, Feb. 21-25 at 7:30 p.m., in the Burtness Lab Theatre.
All My Sons tells a chilling story of life, love and setbacks in middle America during World War II. The story is based around "Joe" (played by guest artist, Darin Kerr, Grand Forks, N.D.) and "Kate" (played by Chelsie Pollert, Carrington, N.D.) Keller, a middle class couple with two sons. Having lost her eldest son in the war, Kate is at a loss with the unforeseen death. Meanwhile, "Chris," (played by theatre major Nick McConnell, Grand Forks, N.D.), the Kellers surviving son, begins to fall in love with his brother's fiancée, "Ann," (played by Emily Hogenson, St. Cloud, Minn.).
Perplexed, Kate cannot bear to accept the relationship and their plans to marry. The confrontations begin to escalate as the Keller family falls apart at the seams. Cracks start to appear in their stories and deceptions become apparent.
All My Sons is a remarkable story that challenges the values and virtues always prevalent in the American heartland.
Other characters include "George Deever," (played by Andrew Caballero, Grand Forks, N.D.), "Dr. Jim Bayliss," (played by Hyrum Patterson, Grand Forks, N.D.), "Sue Bayliss," (played by Abby Shoenborn, East Grand Forks, Minn.), and "Frank" and "Lydia Lubey," (played by Casey Paradies, Williston, N.D., and Daniella Lima, Grand Forks, N.D.)
General admission tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
