UND hosts engineering school research summit TODAY
Today, Monday April 23, at the University of North Dakota Memorial Union, more than 100 University faculty members and researchers from North Dakota State, South Dakota State, and UND will gather for the 2nd Annual Engineering Research Summit.
This summit developed from communications between the three deans of the universities' engineering schools with a desire to create opportunities for faculty to:
Share information of programs, both general and research specific
Create opportunities both formal and informal for faculty to discuss potential collaboration in research
Identify possible synergies
The deans and several associate deans from each university's engineering program will be in attendance. North Dakota State hosted the first summit in April of 2011.
The summit begins with an 11 a.m., registration, followed by lunch at noon and opening remarks at 12:30 p.m. The afternoon comprises individual presentations of work at each of the universities and concludes with a social and tours of UND'S School of Engineering and Mines from 3:15 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
