Student Senate
Student Senate consists of 23 senators who all represent the colleges and residences of UND. The purpose of the Student Senate is to provide a means for the Student Body to express concerns in matters of interest to them, provide a voice for the students in university decision making, coordinate and regulate the activities of student organizations for the benefit of students and UND, serve as a liaison between the Student Body and the faculty and administration, and to represent and investigate all matters or concerns of the student interest. Senators are expected to attend all regularly scheduled Senate meetings, which are usually held at 6:00pm on Sunday evenings.
Qualifications:
All students interested in a position within Student Government must turn in a Records Release Form and meet the following criteria:
- Be a registered student at the University of North Dakota
- Not on academic probation
- Not on conduct probation
- Must belong to the constituency which you are running for
