Accessing Your Course
You'll be emailed a username and password within 2 to 3 days after your registration is processed to access your online course in Blackboard, UND's online course management system. Watch for this email. If you do not receive it, contact our office to verify your email address.
Your preceptor(s) will also receive an email at the same time. Please advise your preceptor(s) to watch for this email.
Your syllabus, lessons, grades, etc. will be accessible through Blackboard and your entire course will be completed online.
Correspondence By Mail Courses
After enrolling in a correspondence by mail course, you'll receive a package containing your course materials. This package takes approximately 2 weeks for delivery. If it does not arrive in a timely fashion, please check with your local post office as the package may be too large to fix in your mailbox and must be picked up.
Can I change course formats?
You may switch from online to correspondence by mail or vice versa for a $50 fee.
- If you switch from an online to a correspondence by mail format, your materials will be mailed to you, and all passwords for the online course will be revoked.
- If you switch from a correspondence by mail to an online format, you will receive passwords for you and your preceptor to access the course online.
To change the format of your course, please complete a Change in Course Format Form.
How long do I have to complete the course?
You have 12 months to complete your course. To allow for the shipment of your course materials, your 12-month timeline starts 2 weeks after your application is processed, however you're welcome to begin as soon as your materials or email with login information arrives.
If you need more time, you may purchase a maximum of two 6-month extensions for $50 per extension.
If you do not purchase an extension prior to your 12-month completion date, your course will be canceled. If you want to re-enroll, you will need to submit the one year Re-Enrollment form, according to the Re-Enrollment policies.
