Biography
Dr. Amber Johnson is the Nurse Anesthesia Assistant Program Director. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1999, a Master of Science degree with a specialization in Nurse Anesthesia in 2006, both from the University of North Dakota. Dr. Johnson completed her doctorate degree in Teaching and Learning, with an emphasis in Higher Education from the University of North Dakota in December 2018. Dr. Johnson practiced clinical anesthesia in Grand Rapids, MN from 2006-2014. She also developed her own anesthesia business in 2006, through which she provides anesthesia services to rural communities in Minnesota and North Dakota. Dr. Johnson joined the UND Nurse Anesthesia Program as faculty in August 2013. She currently provides course instruction throughout the Nurse Anesthesia curriculum and supervises the clinical aspect of the program.
