Kevin C. Connors is a Principal Policy and Regulatory Strategist at the EERC, where he works with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and business professionals to integrate legal and regulatory policy, economics, and tax perspectives with applied research related to incremental oil recovery, unconventional oil recovery, and CO2 capture and geologic storage. He holds a B.S. degree in Geology from the University of Montana.
Prior to his position at the EERC, Mr. Connors served as a Principal Consultant, Drilling and Well Operations, for Equinor Energy. Prior to that, he held several positions with the North Dakota Industrial Commission Oil and Gas Division, including CCS Supervisor, Pipeline Program Supervisor, UIC Supervisor, and Petroleum Engineer, and served as a Wellsite Geologist for Weatherford.
Mr. Connors’ principal areas of interest and expertise include regulatory policy, permitting, and regulatory interpretation related to the geologic storage of CO2, enhanced oil recovery, and unconventional oil and gas development.
