Biography
I have been at UND since Fall 2011. I received my Bachelor's and Master's in English here at UND, and wanted to stay as part of the community; working in the Provost's office, the Department of Communication and currently in the Department of Mathematics. My main goal is to spread positivity and create a welcoming environment wherever I work. I enjoy researching and having discussions about religions, literature, theory and communication. When I'm not working, I like to do landscaping, diy crafts including wood burning, make jewelry, paint and write.

Composition and Rhetoric; focusing on how empathy is taught, and how it can be taught as a transferable skill. There is an assumption with a college education that students automatically gain the ability to be empathetic, and in extension, better world citizens. However, these skills are not explicitly taught in the classroom to illustrate how students begin to understand the motivations of others.
