Biography
Dr. Matthew E. Burton-Kelly is a Geologist at the EERC, where he develops geophysical models of the subsurface, performs regional geological characterization, and builds basin evolution models. He holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Geology from the University of North Dakota and a B.S. degree in Geology from St. Lawrence University, Canton, New York. Dr. Burton-Kelly’s principal areas of interest and expertise include CO2 enhanced oil recovery, data science, stratigraphy, paleogeography, and invertebrate paleontology, including freshwater mussels and arthropod trace fossils.
