Biography
Nathan Modeen graduated with a BA in Social Work from St. John’s University (MN) in 1995, and with his MSW from the University of North Dakota in 2012. Nathan has practice experience working with children and adolescents in direct care settings, with children and families in Child Protective Services and Children’s Mental Health. More recently, he has worked in primary care, acute mental health and outpatient mental health settings serving Veterans as a mental health Social Worker. Nathan is presently employed as the Supervisor of Mental Health Social Work services at the Fargo VA Healthcare System, Fargo, ND. He is clinically trained in Motivational Interviewing, Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. Nathan’s spouse, Jennifer, and his daughter, Hannah, are also Social Workers. Originally from St. James, MN, he has resided for the past 25 years in East Grand Forks, MN, and in Grand Forks, ND.
