Patrick Reading

Biography

Patrick Reading is currently the Technical Director and a Teaching Assistant

Professor for the University of North Dakota Department of Theatre Arts. In

addition to Technical Direction, he is the resident Sound Designer and supervisor of

Stage Management. Before coming to Grand Forks, he was the Theatre Production

Manager/ Resident Designer for Kirkwood Community College (KCC) in Cedar

Rapids, IA. and Technical Director/Designer for Mount Vernon High School in Mount

Vernon, IA. Before that he spent 16 years as the Technical/Facilities Coordinator at

Stringer Fine Arts Center and Adjunct Theatre Faculty/Resident Designer for the

Hutchinson Community College Theatre Department in Hutchinson, KS.

Professionally, he has had the pleasure to have worked with Theatre Cedar Rapids,

Old Creamery Theatre, Des Monies Metro Opera, Utah Festival Opera Company, and

Creede Repertory Theatre. He proudly volunteers as the Kennedy Center American

College Theatre, Region V - Stage Management Fellowship Coordinator and on the

Region V Advisor Board.
