Applications. Forms. Deadlines. The financial aid process may feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t need to be. Just take the process step-by-step and, before you know it, you’ll be finished — and likely saying to yourself, “that wasn’t so difficult after all!”
Your first step toward receiving financial aid is to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It’s a federal application that’s mandatory if you want to receive federal financial aid.
UND's school code is 003005 and priority deadline is February 1 for the upcoming fall semester.
After you submit your FAFSA, you'll be notified if you’re eligible to receive federal financial aid — and how much. That amount is the difference between your estimated costs for the school year and a reasonable amount that you and your family should be able to contribute to those costs. Award notifications will start being sent out in March.
