Biography

Dr. Bobbi Carrlson began teaching as an adjunct professor for UND Occupational Therapy in 2012 and has been teaching full-time since the fall of 2015. Her occupational therapy practice was primarily with the pediatric population, in outpatient and early intervention settings, with some rural health practice. She has completed research on OT’s knowledge and role with literacy development as well as social skill interventions. She spent several years running social skills groups with children ages 3-15.

Dr. Carrlson’s primary interest areas are in early childhood development, literacy across the lifespan, sensory-based intervention, social participation, and teaching and learning processes. She has been actively involved with several organizations such as the Anne Carlsen Center and the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction as well as maintaining involvement with state and national OT organizations.
