Helping UND Be Exceptional:
Higher Learning Commission (HLC) Self-Study Process
Measurement demonstrates progress and opportunities.
That's why we put evaluation metrics, such as annual report templates, in place at the infancy of Exceptional UND. The HLC reaccreditation self-study and evaluation process helped us gain a deeper understanding of our progress and challenges in carrying out UND's mission and achieving the Exceptional UND vision.
The HLC self-study process provided a mechanism for us to reflect on where we are, how we got here, where we need to go, and how we plan to get there. We reviewed UND as a whole for quality assurance, integrity, and program improvement by evaluating, among other things, our:
- Academic programs and activities
- Student achievement
- Institutional governance
- Student services and admissions
- Institutional resources
- Organizational effectiveness
- Relationships with external constituencies
