Innovative, hands-on experience through the Center for Innovation allows undergraduate and graduate students at UND to apply what they’ve learned while pursuing their degrees.
The Center for Innovation supports action-oriented, real-life experiences where students engage in entrepreneurial activity on their own, with other entrepreneurs, or with entrepreneurial organizations. Each experiential learning opportunity is intentionally designed to promote learning, application, and reflection to enhance skill development. Student success is measured through technical, managerial, and entrepreneurial skill development as well as personal maturity demonstrated through increased creative thinking, problem solving and entrepreneurial action.
The UND Center for Innovation and the Grand Forks Region Economic Development Corporation (EDC) jointly sponsor InternGF to increase the number of local internships in early stage and innovative companies and in EDC member organizations that provide internships not routinely found in our region. Eligible employers can receive funds to offset interns' salaries.
