Open Mic Sessions

Every year, the Writers Conference hosts its annual community readings. Readings will be online, as they were last year, and scheduled for the 6pm (Central) slot. We're happy to say that Dr. Patrick Henry and Anna Kinney will once again serve as moderators!

If you're interested, please sign up below! Each reader should be prepared to read for ten minutes. Additional time may be requested (and potentially granted) at the discretion of the readings coordinator, but out of respect for your fellow readers, please plan to limit your material to ten minutes.

Public Readings Registration

We are excited to host two community readings at this year's Writers Conference. Both readings will be held online, via Zoom. This year, we're setting up our community readings to let everyone—readers and audience members alike—be on-screen together, so we can celebrate the writing made by everyone in our creative community.

Please use the links below to register for the community readings at the 55th Annual UND Writers Conference.  On the registration page, please indicate if you would like to share your writing at the event. On the night of each reading, we'll re-send the Zoom access link approximately one hour before the readings begin.
