UND’s master's in Applied Economics & Predictive Analytics is geared toward students who are looking to capitalize on the university’s strong culture of digital analysis and research. Many go into fields like economic research and forecasting. As part of the curriculum, you'll start with a foundation in econometrics and data an statistical analysis, utilizing industry standard software such as STATA, and programming language like R and Python. This base will allow you to produce quality research right away.

Whether you complete a thesis or an independent study, you'll work directly with a faculty adviser during your graduate studies. You will apply digital analytics in economic theory by gathering panel and experimental data, classifying regression trees, building modules and more — all skills critical to landing a career in private industry or government.

The flexible master's degree program is built to fit your schedule. You can attend classes in person or participate in classes online as they happen. This allows you to interact with others in real time or stream video of classes at a later date.
