How to Try UND Free
Try 16-week classes for up to 10 calendar days at no cost before committing to the full semester.
Classes can be taken online or on campus. Classes dropped before the 100% refund date will not accrue any tuition or fees. Students must complete the Withdrawal Form; you will not be dropped from classes automatically. If you continue with classes after the trial period, you will be responsible for all tuition and fees. Any classes dropped after the trial period will be billed according to UND's drop/withdrawal policy.
Apply to UND
Standard admission terms apply. You must be an admitted undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in only regular term, 16-week courses at UND to try classes for up to 10 calendar days with no charges. If you're enrolled courses that are less than 16 weeks, the time frame to drop/withdraw for a 100% refund will be shorter. Students enrolled in Medical School, Law School, self-paced enroll anytime courses or non-credit professional development courses are not eligible.
Plan for Financial Aid
If you plan to use financial aid, it's important to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and apply to your academic program as soon as possible. If you have previously received financial aid at UND or elsewhere, you must be in good standing to qualify for aid.
Next Steps
Once you have registered for classes, please make sure you check your UND email account regularly so you do not miss important communications about dates and deadlines.
If you purchased items from the UND Bookstore, a parking pass, dining plan or housing, their respective refund policies apply.
