FAQs

Who can register for UND Community Classes?

Anyone who is interested can register for UND Community Classes. There is something for everyone and programming is offered every fall, spring and summer semesters.

What types of programs/activities are available through UND Community Classes ?

Each semester the programming for UND Community Classes will change. There are a couple of different types of learning opportunities offered, with some short 1-2 hour events and some longer offerings. The learning categories include: Events, Lunch & Learns and Workshops.

What does it cost to participate in UND Community Classes?

Some of the events are free offerings tied to UND Community Classes, but other learning opportunities will have a fee. This program is not a revenue-generating program; we are trying to keep costs as low as possible so that everyone can participate. Fees vary and will be listed for each event or course.

What is UND's policy on use of photos?

Please note that your photo may be taken during a UND Community Classes experience.

The University of North Dakota's Division of Marketing & Communications uses and distributes images of academic activities and campus life to promote the University and to advance the University’s educational goals. Images of University employees and students involved in campus life activities, images of visitors to campus in public spaces or engaging in public events, or participants in University-sponsored events off campus might be captured for these purposes. Our Image Use Requirements govern images captured by UND employees and by vendors contracted by the University for these purposes.

These requirements are applicable to all University areas, including offices, departments, divisions, centers, institutes, programs and schools.

Will there be coffee, water or snacks served?

No. In an effort to keep costs down, as a general rule, there will not be coffee, water or snacks served during the learning events.

Where can I park and do I pay for parking?

All learning opportunities have been scheduled in locations where parking is available. Each learning opportunity will have the location listed and the adjacent parking noted. We are selecting the closest parking available for each event. Parking is included with your registration. In order for this to happen, we will collect up to two license plate numbers on the registration form when you register for your learning events.

What if I want to donate to the UND Community Classes program?

If you would like to make a general donation to help keep costs low or pay it forward for a specific reason (e.g., scholarships for those that cannot afford to pay, sponsor a breakfast or lunch for lifelong learners, etc.), your contribution is much appreciated. UND Community Classes would love to have a conversation about your idea for how you'd like to support the program or if you are ready to donate to UND Community Classes go to the UND Community Classes donation page.

If you cancel with less than 72 hours notice, no refund is available.
