- This course is a guided book-study and professional reflection based on The Fred Factor by Mark Sanborn. It focuses on leadership, service excellence, personal accountability, communication, and relationship-building within foodservice and healthcare environments. Purchasing the book from your retailer of choice is a mandatory component of this course and not included in the fee paid to UND.
- By the end of the course, students will be able to describe the four principles of The Fred Factor and how they can improve service excellence in foodservice; recognize leadership skills and behaviors that empower dietary team members; identify opportunities to add value to residents, patients, and co-workers; apply service excellence principles within their dietary department; and complete a personal assessment and identify one action goal.
