Accelerated Dietetics Degree Courses
How to apply to the accelerated nutrition and dietetics program?
Pay less and graduate sooner with UND’s combined or accelerated degree programs. Because these degrees are combined into one program, you’ll take fewer total credit hours than you would if you were to pursue your degrees separately.
Step 1 - Apply to UND
If you are an incoming freshman or transfer student, apply to UND as an undergraduate student. Declare your program of study and you’ll follow a straightforward plan from the very beginning of your enrollment all the way through to graduating with a master’s degree.
Step 2 - Apply to Accelerated Dietetics and Nutrition Program
Students who have completed at least 60 undergraduate credits of required, pre-requisite coursework for dietetics can apply to the accelerated dietetics and nutrition program.
The accelerated program is accredited to accept up to 18 students each year. Students apply to the program at the beginning of spring semester of the sophomore sequence of the program for admission the following fall.
Requirements
- A demonstrated interest in the field of dietetics.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale.
- A minimum grade of "C" in all science, food and nutrition courses.
- All courses in the pre-professional phase of the major must be completed prior to entrance into the program.
Deadline
Applicants are encouraged to apply by the February 1 priority deadline for the best chance for consideration. However applications will be accepted up until August 1.
