History Degree Requirements

Complete these requirements for a History degree.

Required 120 credits (36 of which must be numbered 300 or above, and 30 of which must be from UND) including:

I. Essential Studies (see University ES listing).

II. The following core curriculum:

6 Credits from North American History Selection (HIST 204, 205, 206, 210, 220, 250, 253, 260, 310, 325, 330, 331, 332, 333, 334, 339, 370, 371, 375, 402, 405, 406, 407, 412, 413, 470; IS 201, 203, 207, 342)6
6 Credits from European History Selection (HIST 301, HIST 304, HIST 305*, HIST 327*, HIST 328*, HIST 343, HIST 344, HIST 349, HIST 350, HIST 351, HIST 352, HIST 353, HIST 355, HIST 419, HIST 421, HIST 422, HIST 424, HIST 450)* These courses may fulfill the HIST program requirements for either European or World history but may not be counted twice. 6
3 Credits from World History Selection (HIST 201, HIST 215, HIST 230, HIST 265, HIST 269, HIST 305*, HIST 327*, HIST 328*, HIST 335, HIST 341, HIST 345, HIST 362)* These courses may fulfill HIST program requirements for either European or World history but may not be counted twice. 3
