Admitted UND students can apply to the BSN program after meeting admission criteria.

UND is a regional leader in nurse education. The nursing program is highly-competitive and our graduates are heavily recruited by the nations top health care facilities.

At UND, you'll have access to interactive classrooms, rich clinical experiences and opportunities to participate in research activities. At graduation, you'll be fully prepared to take national board examinations (NCLEX) for registered nurse licensure (R.N.) and pursue additional graduate education.

UND offers two degree programs that lead to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing:

  • B.S.N.: For students who come to UND as freshmen or transfer students seeking a bachelor's degree in nursing. Courses are completed on campus with clinical experiences in the Grand Forks region.
  • R.N. to B.S.N.: For students who are registered nurses with a diploma or associate degree in nursing and who wish to attain a B.S.N. Courses are completed online.

The B.S.N. program offers early admission to a select group of students with exemplary academic performance during high school. For information regarding direct admission application criteria, please visit the College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines.
