General Course Costs
The total, non-refundable, course cost is $250.00, which includes:
- course tuition
- 3 course exams
- lesson grading by the instructor
Your application will not be processed until full payment is received.
Textbooks are not included in the course cost. (How do I order my textbooks?) Pricing is subject to change without notice. There are no refunds after registering for this course.
Costs for Extensions
You have 6 months to complete your course. To allow for the shipment of your course materials, your 6-month timeline starts 2 weeks after your application is processed, however you're welcome to begin as soon as your materials or email with login information arrives.
If you need more time you are eligible to purchase a 4-month extension for $100 per extension.
If you need more time and do not purchase an extension prior to your 6-month completion date, your course will be canceled.
To learn more or to purchase an extension, “Sign In” to your Shopping Cart account, then click “Order History” in the left menu, choose the extension option listed under your course, and proceed to checkout with payment.
You're allowed one retake per exam. If you score lower than 70% on a particular exam and you wish to raise your score, you may retake the exam for a fee of $25. Remember, the scores from all exams are averaged to get the 70% or better score. To retake your exam, please complete the Exam Retake Form.
Certificate of Completion
At the successful completion of your course, you will receive a certificate of completion from the University of North Dakota, suitable for framing. You will need a copy of this certificate to apply for your ANFP National Credentialing Examination.
Please watch for your certificate. This certificate will be sent to the address we have on file for you, based upon your registration form or any updated 'Change of Address' forms we may have received during your enrollment. You may update your contact information including your address now – prior to the completion of your course, so that your certificate will reach you.
Do you need a duplicate certificate of completion? There is a $25.00 fee for processing the request.

What are some options to pay for the course?
Full payment for the Nutrition & Foodservice Professional Training Program is required before a registration is processed and the student enrolled in the course. Payment options include private payment or facility/company payments. This training program does not qualify for a government student loan under the FAFSA guidelines. There are no refunds after registering for this course.

1098T Form for Educational Tax Credit
Because our course is not an academic credit course, it does not qualify for educational tax credits using a 1098T form.
