The International Center at the University of North Dakota now accepts passport applications on behalf of the U.S. Department of State.


This service is available to anyone in the UND and Grand Forks communities.

U.S. citizens planning international travel may apply for their passports Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. by appointment only at the International Center, 2901 University Ave, Memorial Union Room 261. To make an appointment, please call 701-777-4231 or send an e-mail to

The International Center asks that applicants read about the process and current fees prior to making an appointment. Please note, the application fee must be paid by personal check or money order, payable to the US Department of State. Credit and debit cards are not accepted for the State Department fee. The $35* processing fee will be paid through Marketplace by eCheck or credit/debit card.

Customers can use cash to purchase money orders at the University Federal Credit Union in the basement level of the Memorial Union.
