The International Center is temporarily closed to aid in the prevention of the spread of COVID-19. During this time, our passport services are currently suspended. However, we will continue to answer any inquiries and welcome appointments once our office re-opens. We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to assisting you in the future.
Applying For Your Passport
U.S. citizens planning international travel may apply for their passports by appointment only at the International Center, McCannel Hall, Room 190 2891 2nd Ave N. Grand Forks, ND. To make an appointment, please call 701.777.4231 or send an e-mail to UND.internationalprograms@UND.edu
For application forms, information on documentation required, fees, and a wealth of other passport and international travel information, visit the only official website for passport information.
Process and Fees
The International Center asks that applicants read about the process and current fees prior to making an appointment. Please note, the application fee must be paid by personal check or money order, payable to the US Department of State. Credit and debit cards are not accepted for the State Department fee. The $35* processing fee will be paid through Marketplace by eCheck or credit/debit card.
The International Center now takes passport photos. This service is available to anyone in the UND and Grand Forks communities for $10 payable through Marketplace.
Passports are good for 10 years, so for less than $14 per year, students will have access to the world for many years beyond their graduation from UND.
