Editing in YuJa
Video Editor Overview
The YuJa video platform offers fully integrated video editing capabilities that are accessible from Manage Media. Video editing allows Content Creators to create professional and polished media content, free from extraneous material. The Video Editor is non-destructive, and your edited video is saved as a new file, without damage to the original media.
See the Video Editor Overview help article or view the Using the Video Editor video to get started with editing video content.
Using the Cut Tool in the Video Editor
The Cut Tool in the Video Editor allows you to remove select sections of content within a video.
See the Using the Cut Tool in the Video Editor help article for information about using the cut function, cutting at exact timeframes and trimming the start and end of videos.
Adding Telestrations in the Video Editor
Telestrations allow you to draw directly on your media; this is helpful to accent key information.
See the Adding Telestrations help article for details.
Adjusting Audio Levels in the Video Editor
The Video Editor supports the ability to adjust Audio Gain, enabling users to correct too-quiet audio for their viewers. Adjusting the volume of the audio on a media file changes the baseline volume, but users may still change the volume via their device or the Media Player as desired.
See the Adjusting Audio Levels help article for details.
Inserting a Video in the Video Editor
With the Video Editor, Content Creators can enrich their videos by inserting another video within it.
See the Inserting a Video help article for details.
Inserting a Slide in the Video Editor
The Video Editor enables users to insert a slide to provide new or additional information over a portion of a media file. You can also use this to create a Title Card for your media by adding an image.
See the Inserting a Slide help article for details.
Inserting a Text Overlay in the Video Editor
The Video Editor supports the addition of Text Overlays within media. This is an ideal way to add supplemental information.
See the Inserting a Text Overlay help article for details.
Editing Captions in the Video Editor
The Video Editor provides caption editing tools that can be used to increase the accuracy of the Video Platform's Auto-captioning or to correct captioning when media content is trimmed or altered. The Video Editor offers a full-featured caption editor that includes the ability to add, change, delete captions, or to alter the timestamps associated with a caption.
See the Editing Captions help article for details.
Editing Video Chapters
The Video Editor supports editing Video Chapters or the Index associated with media. This is especially useful for longer media recordings.
See the Editing Video Chapters help article for details.
Removing a Video Stream in the Video Editor
The Video Editor enables Content Creators to remove one stream from a multi-stream media recording created with the Software Capture application. You can remove an unnecessary stream from a multi-stream recording. For instance, you might preserve the PowerPoint, but remove the speaker from a typical recording.
See the Removing a Video Stream help article for details.
Using Undo and Save in the Video Editor
During an editing session, Content Creators will have the ability to Undo to revert the latest edit or use Save to finalize all the changes. The Video Editor is available to edit all Content Creators' videos. The Undo and Save features will allow Content Creators to remove edits or save their edits during the editing process.
See the Using Undo and Save help article for details.
Using Image Tools in the Video Editor
YuJa's Video Editor offers two different image-specific editing options. Using these tools, you can insert a watermark into your media content or can blur portions of an image on your screen. You may also use the Blur tool to redact an entire portion of the media. Changes will appear after the media has re-processed.
See the Using Image Tools help article for details.
