By adding this minor to your Elementary Education degree, you'll be gaining skills to make you a better math teacher in the classroom. The curriculum is centered on four mathematics classes designed for elementary teachers and at least one general math course. You may also choose to double major in Mathematics and Elementary Education to deepen your understanding of mathematical concepts and pedagogy.
The minor is offered through a partnership with the Departments of Mathematics & Statistics and College of Education & Human Development, which has been preparing students to become teachers for over 100 years.
