Policy Analysis Certificate Requirements

Earn a certificate in Policy Analysis quickly so you can begin advancing your career.

This program seeks to provide the analytic skills needed by professionals from many academic backgrounds who are required to do or understand policy analysis and program planning in the public and not-for-profit sectors. Even managers who do not do research themselves must understand the work of others if they are to make informed decisions based on the information provided in research reports.

Students admitted to the certificate program are required to complete the three-credit courses (9 credits total) listed below, and are required to maintain a 3.0 GPA in order to remain in the program.

What is a graduate certificate?

A graduate certificate is a short series of graduate-level college courses that offer specialized training in a specific industry. UND offers graduate certificate programs focused on education, technology, business, and public administration. You must complete your bachelor’s degree before enrolling in a graduate certificate program.

Graduate certificate courses can sometimes be stacked to meet the requirements for a master’s degree. Reach out to the department for clarification prior to entering a graduate certificate program if your desire is to apply your graduate certificate credits to a master’s degree.
