Center for Biomedical Research

The Center for Biomedical Research is a 20,433 square foot state of the art research facility and is responsible for the care of animals used in research.

CBR Building Features

• 17 holding rooms
• 1 quarantine room
• 4 bio-hazard rooms including Class 2 Biological Safety Cabinets
• 6 procedure rooms
• Surgical suite composed of a prep room, scrub room and a surgery room
• Two behavioral study suites
• 100 percent back-up system in the event of a power failure

Temperatures in the animal rooms can be controlled between 65 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit and the humidity between 30 percent and 80 percent.
